Built on a farm setting in the middle of the Essex countryside with views across the open fields.
Dunmow Crematorium is different to many other crematoriums, just trees, bushes and natural beauty. Plenty of parking and longer between services to get away from the feeling that you are in a production line.
The chapel will seat 178 people in comfort with more room available for standing in the lobby area. For larger funerals you can make use of the Chapel Barn next door for an small additional charge. Both rooms are equipped with the latest audio visual equipment with two large screen monitors and Obitus sound system to allow any music or hymns to be played.
Dunmow Crematorium was designed by Derek Tuttlebury and built by the Walsh family who have been Builders and Funeral Directors for many years and are now into their fourth generation of Funeral Directors in the Dunmow area.
Dunmow Crematorium is owned and run by the Walsh family for the use of any families or other Funeral Directors that wish to use it.
Our lovely Chapel Barn is equipped to accommodate your needs, comfortably seating up to 120 guests not including any guests that wish to stand, complete with refreshments at an additional charge.
We are able to personalise the wake with background music of your choosing and offer a visual tribute to your loved one on our 120 inch projection screen.
The Chapel Barn can also be used as overflow for any service taking place which is too large to be accommodated solely in the Crematorium Chapel for an additional charge. By utilising our state of the art audio visual system and 120 inch projection screen we are able to live stream the service in real time to the Chapel Barn for any extra people that may wish to attend the service.
